Two! Two! Two bundles of fun!!

So my darling Brother David and Beautiful sister in law Sonia had TWO babies last week. Double the fun, double the lack of sleep.
I know, I'm horrible that I am just now getting around to posting about it.
I'm still waiting for pictures, and I really really want to go hold them and smell their tiny toes and heads but I have way too much stuff going on. I feel really guilty.
Their names are Nathaniel Widman Hall (that's the boy) he was 7 pounds 12 ounces born at 10:06 pm on October 1 and Isabelle Widman Hall, born one minute later weighing in at 4 pounds 15 ounces.
Aren't they Bee-YOO-tee-full?
The prodigal son returns
Should be a good week.

Why I unschool (The first installment)
I unschool because I like to goof off.
I unschool because I hate for my children to have to ask to go to the bathroom.
I unschool because I want my children to explore their passions.
I unschool because growth is self paced.
I unschool because I want to see my children learn for the sake of learning, rather than for a scratch n' sniff sticker.
I unschool because we like to sleep till we're done.
I unschool because it is natural.
I unschool because my children's interests are what is important.
I unschool because I never have to say "It's time to stop playing video games and get some math done!"
I unschool because I learned that are really are no "have to's", only choices.
I unschool because it's the best way for my children to Be Who They Are.
I unschool because I can relax.
I unschool because learning is everywhere.
I almost forgot I had one of theese! Well, can't let Squidman have all the creativity in the family so I'm blogging. Today at least.

Local Wildlife
Running past the "No Gas" sign propped up against the ancient pumps, I realized that his just mgiht be my kinda place. I popped through the old weathered doors, startling the proprietor. He was an old country gent, Cardhart coat, red feed store hat, and beautiful silver hair cut short in typical farmer fashion. He apologized for snoozing, saying that he had just been sitting back watching old Matlock reruns. Not another soul was in the store. Dust covered the shelves, coating the snack packages, fishing tackle and candy bars that looked to have sat an awfully long time waiting to be bought.
"Good Morning, a pack of Camel lights, please."
"Don't got Camel Lahts, got Marbro Lahts."
Ohkaayy, this has got to be one podunk little store, they're not fancy European smokes. "How about regular Marlboros, you've got to have those?"
"Yup, got those."
Whew. I was at the point where I'da smoked Kool Milds or something just as putrid as that, I was that desperate.
(An aside for you, dear reader: Have you noticed that I figured out how to start a new paragraph? All you do is hit -=-enter-=-. Holy smoke!)
I was tempted to ask if there was coffee but decided that smoking was a big enough health risk.

So this was written way back in April or something. I'm sorry now I didn't finish the post, it was pretty good. I have some old poetry I can find and post too. I think this will be my writing journal.
